Mortgage xperts is a trading name of Echelon Mortgages Ltd. We decided to change our trading name as we discovered to our amusement that many people where unable to pronounce Echelon or indeed spell it. For those of you who are remotely interested Echelon is french for ladder. We have a tag line of taking your finances to a higher level. As in the higher and lower echelons of society.

We are a directly authorised whole of market mortgage and general insurance broker. A big topic of debate amongst mortgage brokers is the issue of dual pricing and how it relates to whole of market. The FSA supports the actions of lenders in sometimes offering better rate products by going direct. Indeed in some instances lenders such as HSBC and First Direct do not offer products through intermediaries. We are of the opinion that it does restrict customer choice, however rest assured that we will consider all options, as we can at least see, what deals are offered direct.

It is difficult to convey on a website just how much experience and expertise is contained with in the team here at mortgage xperts. I guess the proof is in picking up the phone and speaking to us. All I can add to that is that we have recently expanded to a high street location in order to reach out to as many different people as possible. I would also add that we have coverage through out the UK. We are expanding when other brokers are contracting and leaving the industry. We have managed to stay in business based on customer recommendations and retention.

The market has changed over the past 18 months and now more than ever I believe the services of an experienced mortgage broker is invaluable and a prerequisite before making a decision.
